FlannerysThis place is nothing but a good time!  Music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.. this pub is so much fun for any person who steps in.  Having the regular delights of any other pub along with good times with great people.  If you are looking to meet people.. believe me this is the place to do it!

Known as the bar that is easy for anyone to pick up someone, Flannerys is a hopping spot anytime of the week.  One could even go there on a Monday and the place will be full. There is not any drink specials or cocktails just a good dj and even better people.

It is a good place to go in groups.  When I was there as an exchange student we all went there for one of the guys’ 20th birthday and just had a blast!  We all sang, danced, and drank! Plenty of Jameson, Tequila, and pints to go around it is a great bar to stop at first and then go onwards to Copperface Jacks a dance club on the street above (harcourt).

Flannerys is even a nice pub to go to during the day for some nice casual drinks, paninis, and soups!  Just to forewarn this bar does have a dress code so no flip flops or shorts! Dress nice!  Located right on Camden St. next to the grocery store, FRESH!  Go on in and have a great time!

I must admit that I have never been to any pubs in dublin. Although I would like too, I have yet to have done so. But, I am very interested in checking out new bars, clubs, and pubs in the U.S. One of the coolest bars that i have been to is in Dallas, TX. It is called Ghost Bar and there are only two of them in the country. One is in Dallas, and the other is in Las Vegas. The one that I went to was located on top of a sky scraper. It had a viewing area with huge windows to look out over the city. Also, everything was very modern and chic at this place. Many celeberties frequent these bars. The drinks are around fifteen dollars a pop, which wasn’t very inviting. But, I guess when you are on vacation you have to spend some money to have fun. Also, I have been to Coyote Ugly. Not the original. This one was in Las Vegas, located in the hotel New York, New York. It was really cool to watch the girls dance on the bars and spray alcohol all over you and such. Another cool bar that I have been to is called the Daiquri Deck and it is located in Siesta Key, Florida. The main thing that I liked about this place was that it was completely open to the elements. I too love to travel and check out new places. Hopefully, after I graduate I will be able to travel out of the country more because I will have more time.

This sounds like a really wonderful place to go to. It sounds kind of like a bar the “regulars” would keep coming back for more. I think its nice when you are traveling to have a decent bar to go to. Its frustrating when everyone is trying to make plans and no one knows where to go. When I go to Ireland (someday), it would definitely be a really fun pub to go to!

Interesting info about pubs. I visited China last January with my two sisters. We had been in china for a few days and were looking to go to a place that would suit our needs better than a typical Chinese bar, so what did we find? An Irish pub! I know that Irish pubs are a staple of Ireland, but I also think they are a pretty big staple of American drinking establishments as well. The pub in Suzhou, China attracted a lot of westerners, I actually met a businessman from Chicago there. I was nice to see a reminder of “home” while on the opposite side of the globe, its always nice to walk into a pub.

This has been a really interesting site to follow. As you know, I’m kind of a sarcastic know-it-all, and it’s nice for me to take a step back sometimes and realize that I haven’t left North America and in reality, I know very little.

It’s cool to highlight individual faraway places like this and realize there’s so much more out there to see!
